Having grown up by the sea i now live in the East Sussex countryside. I use both sources in my paintings, whether working from life, memory or imagination -rarely from photographs as I find I become too constrained by the urge to replicate the image. My paintings are almost always dominated by my chief inspiration: the ever changing, awe inspiring sky.
